Fringe. It's everywhere.
Taya and I were walking the Mart a few weeks ago and saw the most AMAZING fringed chair from Laura Kirar (above). We literally stopped DEAD in our tracks. It was stunning. Then we went into another one of our favorite showrooms, Bradley, and there was another one. Do we smell a trend in the design world?
Fringe has been popping up everywhere -- on fashion blogs, catwalks and in tons of jewelry and clothing lines this past season. We've been loving in. From Tamara Mellon's fringe skirts to fringed pom necklaces by local designer Danelle Designs, we cannot get enough. We especially love it when trends from fashion spill over into interiors. Natch.
I think a fringe item here or there would make for a great statement piece -- perhaps a pillow from from Ralph Lauren (we even found great sueded fringe pillows at Pottery Barn Teen!) above or these amazing drapery tie backs from Zinc Textiles that I am dying to bring to life in combination with someone's draperies. We love any way to add more layers and textures to our interiors and these items are a fun and edgey way to achieve that look.
Are you onboard the fringe train? We definitely have our tickets.
