Bringing Burgundy Back

I told Taya the other day that I want to single-handedly bring burgundy back to the forefront of interior design.

A spicy, warm tone once relegated to your Grandmother's velvet sofa is now back and sexier than ever. I am seeing it a ton in fall fashion as the color is so versatile and rich and of course autumnal.

If brave enough, burgundy and bordeaux tones look great in interiors because they look good with a ton of other colors -- greys, taupes and khakis and super chic with black and navy as well. It is also a phenomenal complement to brass (which you know we live and die for) yet stainless steel and nickel complement the color, too. If you can't take the full leap though, burgundy can be just as amazing as an accent in any room.

You know burgundy is hot when the queen herself, Kelly Wearstler, has designed a wonderful array of fabrics encompassing our new favorite hue. We are dying to do a bedroom suite fully embracing this palette.

And don't even get us started on this La Cornue kitchen. Color me BURGUNDY! We can't stand it.

What do you think? Bring burgundy back or leave it at Grandmother's house?

We vote for Y-E-S!
